If you didn’t already know, Soundsplash is a boutique multi-genre festival that has been happening in Raglan for 20 years. Held at the picturesque Wainui Reserve this 3-day music fest has been bringing the manaakitanga and good vibes to the thousands of its attendees. With it’s ongoing commitment to support distinguished Kiwi acts as well as showcase all the rising talent too, combined with its Zero Waste Policy – it has become one of NZ’s most popular summer festivals.

Events like this don’t just happen without a lot of careful consideration and logistical work, and for Feathers Planning we needed to make sure that all consents were gained in time before the event.

The popularity of the events that we obtained the resource consenting for were so successful that the client needed to increase ticketholder numbers. In response we obtained a variation to increase the numbers of ticketholders, and for an upgraded transport service to mitigate the subsequent increase in vehicle movements, and any associated increases in noise – thereby ensuring that these increases were insignificant to the environment and it’s surrounds.
