One of the keys to a smooth resource consent process is obtaining accurate background information so you know the platform you are working from.

The other part of the puzzle is obtaining the recommendations of professional consultants to ensure actual and potential effects are avoided, remedied or mitigated.

In this instance, challenges relating to the narrow nature of the site as well as the sloping topography meant that potential shading of neighbours needed to be addressed early on.  Access to the site was problematic due to the proximity of a bus stop and very busy intersection. The importance of great planning guidance, with careful consideration of these obstacles is shown in this succesful and quality development.
