Not only working on revitalisation projects to the inner city – Feathers Planning has been working on varying projects in the Industrial precinct of Te Rapa Gateway. While this may have been a large blank area of land for many years, it is now a thriving industrial hub, and home to many different businesses.

A long-time client of Feathers Planning, the Ebbett Group have shifted all of their car dealerships out of the Central City to allow for urban revitalisation work. Most of the dealerships have been re-established in Te Rapa Gateway, including this project, for VW, Holden, Isuzu, HSV, Seat and Cupra.

With a proposal to establish dealerships, industrial activities (mechanical workshops), ancillary offices and a storage yard – Feathers Planning needed to apply for a Change of Conditions to the existing Comprehensive Development Consent.

Mostly these comprehensive resource consents are never prescriptive and require negotiation and bespoke solutions to overcome things like, but not limited to, non-compliant signage or additional vehicle crossings.
